Canterbury Baseball's Second Blockbuster Trade
Canterbury Baseball Club
by Sean Callahan 12 February 2006

Less than 18 months after Canterbury Baseball shipped off two of it's more charismatic players in a shock trade, they're at it again.

Here are the three team rosters for the second half.

Coming to the field in blue, the Blue Team: Manager: Sean Callahan

In Canterbury red, the Red Team: Manager: Andrew Peasey

And coming in the stylish national-team colors, the Grey Team: Manager: David Ballinger

The Red team has the doubleheader on Sunday - vs. Grey at 12:30 and vs. Blue at 3:30.

PLEASE BRING YOUR UNIFORM WITH YOU ON SUNDAY! If you're on the Blue team and don't have a blue uniform, please please drop your uniform off at the field by Saturday. Someone is at the field between 6PM and 7PM Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Saturday, there will be someone at the field from 1PM to 4PM

Conveniently, each team is 1-1 so far in the second half, so it will come down to the final eight games for each team to see who wins the second half, and the right to challenge the Blue team for the Canterbury championship on April 2nd.

If you're name is not listed on a team, it's because we haven't seen you this year, so aren't sure you want to play. Contact David Ballinger or Sean Callahan to get rostered to a team.

If you still have a uniform from the Auckland tournament, please return to David.

The Fine Print: The Blue team won the first half based on the fact that it has the most players (4) from the Angels, who won the first half with a 9-3 record.

The scheduler has conveniently granted each team one of the wins from the past three weeks.
