Avonhead Park is the home field of Canterbury Baseball. The park is 23 hectares with ample parking.

The club has use of changing sheds, and toilet and showering facilities. Field #1 is a full size diamond with a 60' 6" pitching mound and a bullpen area with four pitching rubbers for practice.

Directions

Avonhead Park is located on Hawthornden Road near Christchurch International Airport.

From the North, take Johns Road / Russley Road south to Avonhead Road. Turn left on Avonhead Road and then left on Hawthornden Road. The park entrance is just past Avonhead Cemetery and the power lines.

From the South, take Russely Road north to Yaldhurst. Turn right on Yaldhurst and then left onto Cutts Road. Take Cutts road until you reach Hawthornden and then turn left. The entrance to the park is prior to where the power lines cross the road.

Follow the drive to the parking lot. Field #1 is on the right.
